    What the connection checklist covers

    The checklist is generated from the components in your photo, grouped in the order you should physically work through them:

    • Power — connect the supplied adapter, confirm the power LED is solid rather than blinking.
    • WAN / Internet — the uplink from the modem or ONT into the router's WAN port (usually a differently coloured RJ45 socket).
    • LAN / Wired — the numbered LAN ports for PCs, consoles, TVs and access points, and which cable category to use.
    • Wireless — antenna placement, SSID and password setup, band choice.
    • LED indicators — what each light should look like when the link is healthy, and what a red or blinking state means.
    • Verify — run a speed test and a packet loss test to confirm the link is stable before you tidy the cables.
